In May 2010, Paul Lau travelled to Chengdu, China as an accredited photographer to cover the Australian women’s football team (Matildas) at the Asian Cup. Conquering Matildas documents the journey of the team of 23 young women in a collection of images capturing the emotions, tensions and moments of elation experienced. The exhibition opens at 6pm on Thursday 27th October at the Huw Davies Gallery, Manuka Arts Centre.
