Josh Wodak’s Sense of Surroundings is an exhibition of street photography and candid portraiture of Spain from 2010.
“It explores the boundary between sensing and making sense of one’s surroundings. The series concerns the complex interplay between humans and urban landscapes, to depict slithers of understanding from looking amidst the flux of surrounding humans. Human subjects appear to relate to their surrounding environments as seemingly small elements in the compositions, to express the relationship between the photographs as infinitesimal life slices amidst the flux of the wider world.”
The exhibition opens at 6pm on Thursday 15th March at the Huw Davies Gallery, Manuka Arts Centre and continues until 1st April. It will also be showing in Sydney as part of the Head On Photo Festival 2012 at the Cervantes Institute from 17th May through 29th June.
The paper selected by Josh for these prints was Canson Infinity Arches Velin Museum Rag.
